Scott Poster, Drive System Engineering Manager and Associate Tech Fellow, Bell (Retired)

Scott Poster is currently retired after 40 years with Bell. Scott served as the Drive System IPT Leader for the Bell 525 program. In this role, he led the Drive System Design, Manufacturing Support, Bench Test, and Flight Support teams through development and certification efforts for the 525. Scott has also served as Drive System Chief Engineer, IPT leader for Drive System design projects for the V-22 Osprey, BA609, and various helicopter models and research projects. He also supported many programs as Associate Tech Fellow Mechanical Systems and continues to work with Bell as a part time consultant for Drive System assisting with certification and entry into service for the 525.

Scott’s presentation will provide a walk through the Bell 525 drive system including initial design objectives, layout and operation of various drive components, and development and certification testing to date.
